Why Hopeful Futures?

Oliver McGowan Training

We are local & we are not-for-profit

As a grass roots not-for-profit community interest company based in the London Borough of Newham, when you choose us as your training provider, you have the added assurance that all training income goes straight back into our community projects, all of which benefit local autistic people, those with learning disabilities and their families.

We are committed to being cost effective

We know that training costs for this programme vary drastically from provider to provider. We also know that the social care sector haven’t yet been provided with the additional finance required to cover the costs of this mandatory training.

We are incredibly passionate about the training subject and want health & social care staff to be able to access this training easily, without unrealistic pricing getting in the way.

We are committed to providing high quality training at the lowest possible price.

Tier 1 £330.00
Tier 2 £1,035.00

For Tier 1: £330 for up to 30 learners (the equivalent of £11 per person)

For providers in Newham:

For providers outside of Newham, additional travel costs will be added as needed.

We can travel to your location to deliver the training at your premises or we can support you by booking an appropriate venue.

We pride ourselves on pastoral support

We have a small training team which allows us to provide the pastoral support that our experts with lived experience co-trainers need. We all know each other well, and always have pre and post training catch ups to make sure that our co-trainers are supported, comfortable and confident in their training role.

We are experienced

We have Lead Trainer status and are approved to deliver the Tier 1 1-hour webinar, Tier 2 face to face training as well as Tier 2 Train the Trainer Programmes.

Our lead trainer Alice Amponsah is a registered learning disability nurse. Prior to the Oliver McGowan training programme, we have vast experience in delivering autism and learning disability training to GPs, social workers, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, support workers, care providers, charities and faith-based organisations.
